Person who do not require visa to enter the Mauritian
territory:
Mauritian Citizens.
Persons having the status of resident as per the "Immigration Act".
Children of parents who are mauritius Citizen or person having the status of resident
as per the "Immigration Act".
Holders of diplomatic passport except those issued by the government of Algeria,
Iraq, Iran, Lybia and Sudan.
The crew of a ship traveling for business or in transit to join another ship.
Holders of a pass issued by the UN or other recognized international organizations.
Persons wishing to stay in Mauritius only for a period of stop over of the ship
on board of which they came or will leave.
Any other person whose stay has been approved by the Office of the Prime minister.
Note: A visitor must be in possession of a valid passport and a return or onward
ticket. A visitor's visa is granted normally for one month, but can be renewed for
a further period upon request. Visas may be obtained from Mauritian Embassies and
High Commissions. It is strongly recommended to contact the Passport Office. Getting
an accommodation in Mauritius is relatively easier.
